Quality Engineer II

Source Pro Search is conducting a search for a Quality Engineer with a focus on large assembled manufactured products. We are seeking individuals with a proven track record in quality engineering, process improvement, and statistical analysis. Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive quality improvements using quality tools and statistical methods.
  • Utilize metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices.
  • Review supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and capability study information.
  • Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
  • Apply probability, statistics, and data analysis (SPC, DOE, and process capability studies) to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Identify and implement appropriate preventative and corrective actions, conduct root cause analysis, and review effectiveness.
  • Address quality issues related to new product introduction.
  • Train staff on new quality concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of Quality Engineering experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in statistical analysis.
  • ISO and internal audit experience.
  • CQE Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% to other company or supplier locations.
  • Good communication, verbal and written, and computer skills.
