Compensation Analyst

As the Compensation Analyst, you will be an integral part of a top-notch compensation team and a critical member of our overall Talent organization. You will join a team of 5 professionals dedicated to providing seamless support for attorney and professional staff compensation in a progressive, innovative, and collaborative firm. What You Will Do:

  • Support the compensation team in administering professional staff, case assistant, paralegal, Science Advisor, and attorney increase and bonus processes.
  • Participate in the design of compensation programs and processes.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and reports to support compensation analysis and decision-making.
  • Assist in developing and supporting training initiatives, including drafting compensation-related communications.
  • Complete salary surveys to support our firm’s benchmarking processes, working with other departments to gather information and meet survey deadlines.
  • Ensure data integrity in compensation systems such as Workday, including auditing salary, FLSA status, job titles, and salary ranges.
  • Collaborate with Compensation Managers on administering compensation systems like Workday, MarketPay, and CompXL, providing program communications, project launch support, and user training.
  • Partner with HRIS, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, and HR Operations teams to achieve desired outcomes and support business needs.
  • Make updates in Workday, MarketPay, and CompXL for compensation-related changes.
  • Perform salary and bonus calculations for part-time and hourly attorneys.
  • Create documentation and automated compensation notices for salary changes and bonuses.
  • Participate in various human resources projects, contributing ideas for process improvements.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of compensation or related HR experience.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, MarketPay, or CompXL a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and strong expertise in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, and graphics).
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong desire to learn and grow in the compensation field.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 per year
