Source Pro Search is conducting a search for a Senior Radiographer Level II on behalf of our client. This well-established company, experiencing aggressive growth, specializes in manufacturing components for the military and aerospace industries. The Senior Radiographer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of components through digital radiography processes.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Radiographer Level II, you will be responsible for performing or managing radiographic operations, including the selection of appropriate techniques, positioning of materials, and digital photography techniques. Your expertise will be essential in identifying and assessing defects in components and repair welds. The role involves processing digital radiographic images, interpreting results, and preparing necessary documentation and certification. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining the radiographic inspection area and equipment, reviewing new customer orders, and participating in Nadcap accreditation activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform or manage radiographic operations, ensuring proper techniques and positioning of materials.
  • Process digital radiographic images and interpret results based on codes, standards, and customer specifications.
  • Review new customer orders to determine proper processing through X-Ray operations.
  • Maintain the radiographic inspection area and equipment, assisting in Nadcap accreditation activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and process logs as required.
  • Demonstrate a desire to increase technical and leadership skills in the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
  • Post-High School education in NDT or a technical field is preferred.
  • Certification to Radiographic Testing Level II (RT Level II) is required.
  • Experience in manufacturing or component-level work (not pipelines) is essential.
  • Familiarity with SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or MIL-STD-271 for NDT is highly desired.
  • Experience with DDA (digital X-ray) protocols or DDA Level 2 certification is desirable.
  • Good communication and computer skills.
  • Interest in earning advanced certifications in additional NDT techniques, such as liquid penetrant inspection (FPI, MPI), with a long-term goal to achieve Level 3 certification.
