Sales Manager - Analytical Instruments

Source Pro Search is conducting a search for a Sales Manager.

Our valued client is expanding and introducing a Sales Manager position, based in their Houston office, to oversee a rapidly growing business unit for the Southern Region. This role is dedicated to selling and supporting the client's range of high-precision measuring instruments for physical, chemical, mechanical, and structural properties. The base salary for this position is in the range of $136,000 to $154,500, complemented by a competitive compensation package that includes a 20-30% bonus. Full benefits, a profit-sharing contribution to your 401k, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years are part of the comprehensive offering.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Managing and developing a team of field and inside sales representatives, along with product specialists.
  • Meeting sales targets and overseeing travel and expense budgets for the business unit.
  • Providing support to the team in their daily activities.
  • Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Service, Eastern Region.
Skills and qualifications you will need:
  • 3 years of sales management experience, including previous direct sales experience, preferably in analytical instrumentation or technical capital equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to coach and train the sales team on selling strategies, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Organizational skills and adaptability to change in a fast-evolving organization and technology.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Availability for up to 50% overnight travel.
  • A valid driver’s license and passport.
