As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing projects to achieve specific targets for vehicles, focusing on function, performance, durability, cost reduction, and ease of manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include determining the root cause of failures, improving the product development process through engineering studies, and creating electrical systems, specification sheets, 3D CAD models, 2D CAD drawings, and BOM. Become an individual contributor to the vehicle design team, bringing your expertise to enhance our cutting-edge projects.
Manage and lead the design and development of the electrical scope for projects.
Oversee the entire electrical system design.
Complete electrical components and system design.
Create detailed 2D drawings in support of assigned project subassemblies and installations.
Prepare engineering release documentation defining part numbers, effectivity, and usage.
Participate as an individual contributing member of cross-functional teams to ensure quality product development within schedule and cost constraints.
Perform or manage the analysis of market claims and determine countermeasure specifications.
Collaborate with domestic and overseas suppliers.
Lead communication with company headquarters in Japan for electrical project scope.
Education / Experience:
BS degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a relevant field.
5-10 years of experience with electrical components and system design, preferably in the automotive industry.
Electronic circuit design and verification of embedded equipment and systems.
