Accounting Manager - Manufacturing

Source Pro Search is conducting a search for an Accounting Manager with a major and established international company. This compelling opportunity is based at their expansive manufacturing site, easily commutable to the east of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The position offers enticing benefits and a bonus potential of up to 3%, paid twice a year.

Essential Tasks:
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Review account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure financial statements are reasonable.
  • Supervise and manage the performance of responsible staff.
  • Oversee the transactions and data generated from the responsible area.
  • Prepare product profitability reports and data as needed for management.
  • Lead the monthly financial closing process.
  • Be responsible for certain aspects of the site's Sarbanes Oxley compliance project as assigned by F&A management.
  • Prepare account reconciliations for specific general ledger accounts and review others within the area of responsibility.
  • Lead in the budget process.
  • Prepare and manage the monthly forecasting process.
  • Provide assistance to the department on a wide variety of F&A projects.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of information.
  • Ensure a safe workplace and comply with all regulations and requirements related to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Follow all quality policy standards.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s Degree/CPA preferred. 5+ years of prior related experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Qualifications:
  • Possess the ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications.
  • Must have 5 years of managerial-level experience in accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience using general accounting principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Perform job duties in an ethical and professional manner. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Desired experience with quick closings, FS by BU, internal controls, standard costing, variance analysis, property tax & abatement, automotive manufacturing, and SAP.
Working Conditions:
  • Pleasant office environment primarily; moderately loud manufacturing environment, manufacturing environment, secondary.

Physical Requirements:
  • Major portion of the schedule is spent sitting, using hands to keyboard, write, and handling files and documents.
  • Clear and distinct speaking voice and hearing clear enough for understanding are required.
  • Moving about the facility, standing to file, and some stair climbing may be required.
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception are required.
  • Lifting limited to no more than 25 lbs.
