Position Summary:

As a Quality Engineer – Assembly, you will:
  • Design, plan, and supervise
  • Develop and implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials
  • Develop new materials to enhance product performance and leverage technological advances
  • Analyze the impact of products on the environment and people
  • Determine the causes of breakdowns
  • Test manufactured products to maintain quality
  • Estimate the time and cost to complete projects

As part of the Process Quality Assurance Unit Department, your key responsibilities include:
  • Managing all aspects of quality engineering techniques and methods in an assigned area or project with minimal supervision
  • Providing support to manufacturing for quality improvement and new product launch
  • Collaborating with Product Design, Service, and Purchasing
  • Performing advanced quality planning on new model introductions
  • Utilizing the company Defect Free Process for preparing new model launches
  • Thriving in a high-paced complex environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Developing and implementing control plans and product inspection plans
  • Leading process improvement teams
  • Proficiently developing and implementing process controls, SPC, and other statistical methods
  • Creating and implementing quality metrics to monitor internal performance
  • Leading problem-solving and Kaizen activities with small groups
  • Auditing internal quality systems
  • Initiating and reviewing corrective action for problem resolution
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Developing and documenting quality systems, standards, and procedures as required
  • Adhering to all company rules and policies
  • Implementing and adhering to all ISO-9001 and company QMS requirements/procedures and striving for simplification

Education / Experience:
  • 4-year engineering degree and 6-8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, or 15-20 years equivalent experience without a degree
Other Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Skills:
  • ISO experience and quality certifications are a plus
Additional Requirements:
  • Demonstrated application of engineering skills and problem-solving techniques
  • Effective planning and organizing along with strong project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with applied experience working in a team environment
  • Assembly process experience
  • Particularly looking for someone with strong hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise, preferably experienced with ATVs or Dirt Bikes, or automobiles
  • Another critical skill is hands-on experience integrating electronic systems as process controls like RFID scanning, Vision Systems, Artificial Intelligence Cameras, barcode scanning, working with software programs to confirm conditions are OK or not.
