The Role You Will Play:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitability, working with a variety of clients, and overseeing project scopes, schedules, and budgets. This is a fast-paced environment with a dynamic and growing company.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build a team atmosphere to foster success for foremen, superintendents, and operators.
  • Manage multiple foremen/lead men on separate projects.
  • Oversee several projects in varying locations throughout the Southeast.
  • Schedule equipment deliveries and meetings with engineers and owners.
  • Maintain erosion control inspections and ensure compliance.
  • Communicate project scope, details, and schedules with foremen.
  • Promote workplace safety, conduct safety meetings, and perform on-site safety inspections.
  • Manage budgeting and work in process.
  • Assist in training new hires and existing personnel.
  • Communicate project billing information for timely invoicing.
  • Review time sheets for accuracy and submit information for payroll.
  • Maintain project files and schedules.
  • Order necessary construction materials.
  • Assist management in estimating and business development with various clients.
  • Assist in the hiring process, including screening, interviewing, and observations.
  • Ensure MSHA compliance on projects, including inspections and required training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Candidates Need Background in Heavy Civil Site Work

  • Quality control/assurance programs
  • Best practices for various construction projects
  • Equipment safety, MSHA, and OSHA regulations
  • Site-specific hazards and conditions
  • General site preparation techniques and procedures
  • Equipment maintenance and storage
  • Operation of heavy equipment
  • Road construction and maintenance techniques

  • Equipment cleaning standards and procedures
  • Operating various types of equipment safely

  • Knowledge of survey equipment (Topcon, Trimble) is a plus
