What the Qualified Candidate Needs:
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program in the United States.
  • PE registration in the state of South Carolina or the ability to obtain NCEES registration (desirable).
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a registered PE in electrical design of industrial projects, including expertise in 480V, 3 Phase Power systems, backup generators, industrial/warehouse lighting systems, office power and lighting, fire alarm systems, and IT systems. Construction experience is desirable.
  • Understanding of building codes and design standards (NFPA 70, NED, IBC), familiarity with FM Global Standards is a plus.
  • Experience with defining and specifying electrical design loads, preparing power load sheets, equipment selection, project specifications, construction drawings, and shop drawing review.
  • Ability to visit client facilities and construction sites, making observations, and resolving issues.
  • Creative thinking, multitasking ability, and excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting programs, including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Organizational skills, ability to work in a team, detail-oriented, highly motivated, and capable of directing and assigning work within the Electrical Department.
  • Ability to assist with sales and marketing efforts, including preparing preliminary project designs, estimating project design fees, writing proposals, and attending business development functions.
