THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
Positions are open due to multiple and ongoing retail projects. The Superintendent is responsible for all site construction activities, including field and subcontractor personnel, required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, coordinating all trade and field personnel, administering good construction safety practices, and closing out projects.
Coordinate and supervise construction activities.
Achieve project completion on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship.
Maintain construction schedule, identify and solve problems, and order materials.
Understand project plans and specifications.
Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
Prepare daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and supervise completion of a final punch list.
Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards.
Ensure adherence to the company safety policy and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean organized job site and conduct weekly progress meetings.
Review job cost reporting and assist Project Manager in maintaining budget control.
Review subcontractor scopes of work and provide feedback to Project Manager.
Establish staging plans and manage site logistics.
Collaborate with Project Manager in scheduling critical path craft pre-construction meetings.
Provide feedback on reviewed submittals for compliance and coordination.
Ensure quality work is being put in place, managing workflow for crafts, suppliers, employees, and third-party contractors.
4 to 6 years of experience running crews or supervising remodel/upfit work.
Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production in all phases of construction.
Retail Remodel/Retail Upfit experience for Big Box Retail, Grocery Stores, Strip Malls, etc.
