  • Pay: Up to $85,000 annually

Job Description:

This full-time, permanent Mechanical Project Engineering Designer opportunity is with an employee-oriented, custom automation engineering design company. The company is renowned for taking custom automation equipment design to new heights, engaging in both machine building from scratch and manufacturing standard products sold globally. With a compact engineering group of six professionals, each engineer can make a substantial impact at the company. Promoting from within is a key aspect of the company culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing machines from concept through completion
  • Creating custom automation and robotic work cell equipment
  • Finding solutions to problems
  • Seeing jobs through to production
  • Collaborating with machinists, assemblers, and electrical personnel
  • Working as part of a team
  • Managing projects and/or projects within time constraints
Qualifications:
  • Mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering degree
  • Two or more years of custom automated equipment machine design experience from concept to completion
  • SolidWorks experience
  • Understanding of machine tool, material science, hydraulic and pneumatic concepts
  • Understanding of machine design and power transmission
  • 3D drawing experience
  • Creative self-starter
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems
