Source Pro Search is conducting a search for a Field Service Manager.


The Field Service Manager plays a crucial role in the day-to-day management of field service and support activities in the Southern Region (TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, and Caribbean). Leading a team of 12 highly skilled degreed technicians, the Field Service Manager oversees troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of benchtop analytical instrumentation used in R&D Labs. The base salary for this position ranges from $93,000 to $105,000 per year, plus a bonus. Our client also offers full benefits, a profit-sharing contribution to your 401k, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years. This is not a Service Manager position for a copier company or auto dealer. The position reports to the Service Manager for the Southern Region.

  • Manage a team of Field Service Engineers, including hiring recommendations, staff development, work assignment, and performance appraisals.
  • Ensure proper training and continuous skill advancement of Field Service Engineers; conduct staff training as needed.
  • Maintain adherence to service department policies, corporate safety and quality standards, and ISO17025 requirements.
  • Compile and maintain operational records, report product failure trends, and oversee performance metrics using SAP software and Excel macros.
  • Oversee the identification and routine calibration of test equipment (required for ISO/IEC 17025 calibrations).
  • Accumulate 3 years of experience in a technical services environment.
  • Attend mandatory in-house technical training courses annually to stay current on field developments.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of engineering science and technology.
  • Utilize electronic schematics, electronic testing equipment, and repair tools to support service engineers.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Exhibit analytical problem-solving skills, excellent verbal/written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
