What they’re looking for:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Preferably seeking someone with Director experience but would consider someone with two years of Nurse Manager experience.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas, or immediately eligible.
  • Basic Life Support certification required within 60 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support & Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications within 90 days of employment.
Hours and compensation potential:
  • The position is full-time day shift.
  • The range is $110K-$130K depending on experience.
  • A full benefits package including CME allowance, as well as a $20,000 sign-on bonus.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nursing Director plans, implements, directs, and evaluates the nursing care for assigned units.
  • Coordinates the delivery of patient services; creates and maintains an environment conducive to learning.
  • Provides for the development and evaluation of staff.
  • Serves as a patient advocate within the health care system.
  • Accountable on a twenty-four (24) hour basis for the management of all facets of nursing activities for assigned unit(s).
  • Ensures that nursing care meets legal, ethical, institutional, and professional standards.
  • Participates in the Hospital’s Quality Improvement and Service Excellence programs.
  • Interprets and facilitates the application and implementation of the philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department and organization.

  • The position is located an hour from Houston.
  • Will work with a great group that is growing. Will supervise around 40 FTEs.
  • Facility is about 120 beds, accredited, not-for-profit acute care community hospital, along with the Rural Health Clinic.
