Job Title: 3PL Truck Broker Sales (Cradle to Grave)

Job Description: This full-time role is pivotal in driving the growth of truck brokerage operations by generating new business.

Responsibilities:
  • Contact new shippers through cold calling and leveraging industry contacts.
  • Arrange meetings with shippers to promote truckload brokerage services.
  • Assess optimal coverage opportunities, whether lane by lane or country-wide, based on shippers' needs.
  • Develop presentations outlining best coverage options for shippers.
  • Negotiate rates for new business lanes, incorporating opportunities for annual rate increases based on service levels.
  • Generate contracts for new business and manage time and territory effectively for various-sized accounts.
  • Liaise with trucking companies for freight movement, including dispatching carriers, confirming pickups, tracking and tracing loads until final delivery.
  • Ensure a smooth delivery process and address any issues promptly.
  • Provide custom logistics solutions to simplify shippers' needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shippers and carriers on escalated matters.
Experience:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the truck brokerage industry.
  • Proven track record of domestic truck brokerage sales.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the trucking industry.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Proficient computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Compensation Details: This position offers a competitive base salary of $65,000 plus a 15% commission on net revenue, paid monthly on invoices that have been settled.
