This full time, permanent Commercial Building Automation Programmer opportunity is at a growing, commercial HVAC system designer, builder, and servicer located just northeast of Madison. The company has a great design and build reputation so employees are being added to keep up with the consistently growing demand. Customers are diverse across many industries so the workload is very stable. Employees are never bored as projects are challenging and vary greatly. The company promotes from within.
 
The work schedule can be flexible. The duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Reading in interpreting engineering drawings
  • Creating an operations sequence
  • Programming, building and installing automation systems
  • Traveling to client sites (typically not overnight) to commission and start up
  • Integrating to third party devices within a building automation system
  • Collaborating with the team on a weekly basis
  • Troubleshooting
  • Providing remote assistance to the customer

The successful candidate must have a background that includes the following:
  • Two years of building automation systems or two years of installing automation systems
  • One year of experience with Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
  • Traveling to client sites (typically not overnight)
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
