SourcePro Search is conducting a search for a Manufacturing Engineer at a metal fabrication operation, serving the military defense and commercial markets. This position will be reporting to the Program Manager. Sorry, no Visa sponsorship isavailable. What you will be doing:
Design, install or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes
Design layout of equipment to achieve greatest efficiency
Design testing methods and test finished products
Audit an assembly line including conducting flow of work centers
Works closely with Production Manager on the shop floor
Estimate costs, production times, or staffing requirements for new designs
Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards and incorporate new methods as needed
Investigate or resolve operational problems
Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures
Review product designs for manufacturability
Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials or processes
Provide technical expertise
Train production personnel in new methods
What they are looking for:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering is desired with 1 to 4 years of manufacturing experience; or an Associates degree with 5+ years of manufacturing experience will be considered
Must have at least some experience in metal fabrication and welding
Any foundry or investment casting experience is a plus
Must have some knowledge of tooling and machining
Knowledge of ISO/TS/IATF quality standards is a plus
