SourcePro Search is conducting a search for a talented Senior Wireless Communication Systems Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in all aspects of wireless technology projects, from initial planning to final validation.
This is a hybrid work schedule with a minimum requirement of 3 days on-site per week, specifically Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Designing and specifying system requirements.
- Developing algorithms, simulating, implementing, and testing.
- Conducting system performance simulations, benchmarks, and tests.
- Providing support for FPGA design and verification, as well as software development teams.
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams for product and feature development.
- Tracking and managing development schedules and tasks.
- Participating in lab and field testing and troubleshooting.
- Preparing technical materials and documentation.
- Contributing to R&D business development and capture efforts.
- Collaborating with other teams to brainstorm future enhancements and strategies.
- Additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in wireless communications and signal processing.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in wireless systems design and development.
- Experience throughout the wireless technology development cycle.
- Extensive knowledge of RF propagation and channel modeling.
- Proficiency in digital communication systems, signal processing algorithms, MIMO, OFDM, etc.
- Experience in modeling and mitigating RF impairments.
- Expertise in MATLAB programming and simulation.
- U.S. Citizenship due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
- Successful clearance of a background check.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exposure to wireless mobile ad-hoc networking, medium access, and routing algorithms.
- Familiarity with cognitive radio, congested and contested spectrum, interference mitigation, RF sensing, signal detection, and classification.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
