SourcePro Search is conducting a search for a national truckload carrier that has terminals in multiple states. They handle dry, full truck load, over the road freight. Their history is replete with buying additional trucking companies. They are planning on buying more trucking companies after they get what they have digest. It is and will be an exciting place to work.
The CFO will have a pivotal role in molding the company’s strategic vision. The M&A process, and the execution of the equity listing. The CFO will be a top executive, a trusted voice to the CEO and Board, participate in every strategic and senior level discussion and can have the opportunity to guide the future direction of the company.
The first choice for the CFO location is Newark where you can commute to the office when needed by you or the CEO. So, you can be remote, a hybrid, on commute to the office. Regular travel to their Phoenix headquarters is required.
Major Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the Finance & Accounting team.
Responsible for all the company’s SEC financial filings that include 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and financially drive 8-K disclosures.
Review and oversee all GAAP and non-GAAP management reporting (including normalized EBITDA bridges, management cash flow and other reporting tools).
Work in consultation with CEO, design, build and/or oversee company’s detailed, bottoms-up financial model and maintain throughout the year.
Oversee company’s Treasury function.
Oversee company’s tax planning and analysis.
Assist with company’s corporate reorganization activities.
Future M&A and integration activities.
Job Requirements
Technical knowledge of GAAP account principles and practices, including standard accrual practices in the trucking industry for peer companies.
A solid understanding of and exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC reporting requirements and responsibilities for public companies.
Trucking experience required.
Public company experience required.
Excellent Technical knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices, including standard accrual practices in the trucking industry for peer companies.
Financial modeling skills is a MUST. You will be responsible for the company’s model.
Driven, hard-working and accessible – if you do not respond to quick emails on a Sunday or do not check your phone after 6 pm, this position is not for you.
M&A experience highly preferred.
Monthly air travel to Corporate Headquarters required. That is where you accounting is located.
Experience producing reports and presentations for Board and investors.
Finance professionals such as accountants financial Analysts and other Finance Managers all report to you.
College Degree in finance field such as accounting, economics, business administration.
MBA / Master’s degree is preferred. BA in the finance field such as accounting, economics, or business administration. Some certifications such as CPA, CMA, CPA.
