SourcePro Search has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Compensation Analyst with our top ranked law firm client. The incumbent will manage the various compensation programs and
activities, including base pay, incentive pay, surveys and compensation analytics. Additional
responsibilities include job revisions, market pricing, and maintaining salary structures. This role offers a competitive base salary and excellent growth potential.
Responsibilities:
Designs, evaluates, modifies and manages compensation policies and practices to ensure that
programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements;
Analyzes compensation policies, government regulations and prevailing rates to develop
competitive compensation plans;
Fulfills all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations, including
internationally;
Directs preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of
compensation policies, including hiring managers;
Prepares new job descriptions and updates current as appropriate;
Prepares and manages budgets;
Manages compensation processes, including communications, system functionality, and
collaboration with administrative functions and partner-led committees: associate lock-step pay
changes and bonuses, staff merit pay and bonuses, paralegal pay changes and bonuses;
Works collaboratively with administrative functions to build support of compensation processes
within the framework available;
Analyzes internal and external salary statistics, including survey results, to provide
recommendations for changes to salary grades and for classification of new jobs;
Consults with hiring managers and recruiting function to determine appropriate base pay for new
hire offers; consults with managers to determine appropriate response to requests for stay and
signing bonuses;
Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to solve compensation-related
business problems and provide guidance;
Supervises and mentors Compensation Analyst;
Travels as required; and
Handles other items as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred);
Compensation [CCP] certification (preferred);
At least 4 years of compensation and equity analysis experience;
At least 5 years of human resources or talent management experience;
At least 5 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (preferred);
Advanced to Expert proficiency in performance and compensation applications (SuccessFactors);
Advanced to Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet/database applications;
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications;
Advanced proficiency in data and statistical analysis;
Advanced proficiency in job evaluation and analysis;
Advanced proficiency in organizational structure and planning;
Advanced proficiency in project management;
Fundamental to Advanced proficiency in talent management systems (PeopleSoft, Workday);
Advanced knowledge of human resources laws and practices; and
Fundamental to Advanced knowledge of talent and performance management philosophies.
