SourcePro Search has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Business Development Specialist with our top ranked global law firm client in the New York office. This role will support the M&A practice and offers a high base, great benefits and excellent upward growth opportunities.
The key objectives are to generate revenues through a focused and coordinated approach to business development activities including profile raising, pitching, client team coverage and industry coverage. The position also will coordinate closely with international colleagues and other marketing team members to support global cross-selling efforts, client teams, industry groups and other firm-wide BD efforts and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop tailored pitches, proposals and presentations and providing input for global RFPs; entering pitch activities into the client relationship management database
Create legal directory submissions; scheduling interview calls; developing specific talking points; identifying and tracking practice specific awards / submissions
Maintain and update marketing collateral (brochures, AAGs, attorney bios, capability presentations, web content) in conjunction with core BD team
Assist in the execution of client seminars and other client activities / events in conjunction with the NY marketing team and other administrative groups; inputting contact and activity information into InterAction and client relationship management tools
Assist the PR/Communications team to identify practice specific media opportunities, including speaking and by-lined articles; facilitating publication of articles and other writings
Organize and arrange activities for clients and industry teams (including conducting research, organizing meetings, developing actions plans, in-house and external events)
Work with partners and other business development colleagues in support of client development plans and proactively drive the vision for the M&A practice
Assist with the maintenance of business development action items for key clients; develop a dashboard for each key client to help track progress, identify opportunities and begin process of building out metrics; distribute a monthly report to the respective coverage team
Help identify appropriate industry events and conferences; track ROI and follow-ups
Research and gather business intelligence about key trends in the M&A practice
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
Ability to synthesize research from various sources in order to provide sophisticated reports in a format that is effective for partners
Ability to produce executive-level and client-facing pitch and proposal presentations and other marketing materials
Credible understanding of business and legal landscape and how it impacts the firm’s client base
Sound business judgment and problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills; superior analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy

Knowledge of InterAction a plus
Education & Experience:
Bachelor degree required; advanced degree such as a JD or MBA preferred
3+ year work experience in progressively responsible business development roles in legal marketing or other professional services firms
Significant experience managing pitches, legal directory submissions and the full range of legal marketing and business development services
Experience working in an international environment and across time zones
