Legal Assistant
SourcePro Search is conducting a search for a Legal Assistant, who will be involved throughout estate planning processes as well as traveling to the Surrogate’s Court on estate administration cases. Job responsibilities will include a range of research and administrative projects. Legal Assistants will be expected to draft estate planning and estate administration documents. A crucial aspect of this position involves working directly with clients on both estate planning and estate administration matters.
The ideal candidate should have strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills in addition to technical and analytical skills. This role requires candidates to be detail-oriented and have strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
- Working directly with clients to assist with their estate planning and estate administration needs.
- Drafting legal and estate planning documents.
- Answering estate planning inquiries.
- Traveling to the Surrogate’s Court regarding estate planning and estate administration matters.
- Conducting internal research on client cases for the firm.
- Screening clients best suited for provided services.
- Investigating and transferring assets such as bank accounts, real estate, and abandoned property belonging to clients.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Strong passion for attending law school/pursuing a career in law.
- The ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly to a new work environment.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, Outlook, and eDocs.
